I was lying on the grass in Primrose Hill and wanted the inspiration to come.
I was sitting in a Nero coffee shop in Camden and wanted the inspiration to come.
I was sitting in a coffee shop having breakfast in Notting Hill, admiring the view, and the inspiration came.
What can we do when we don’t feel [...]

I went to London last week. The only purpose of that trip was to write, and I’m very happy I did it, even if I didn’t write as much as I wanted to. Sometimes life gets in the way.
It was very interesting to have a few days free and to know I’d only do a [...]

Hannah Friedman, a Yale grad student who just finished writing her first book Everything Sucks (correct me if I’m wrong), answered a few questions about writing on her blog.
I wouldn’t consider myself an author (yet?), but I will definitely follow her advice.

I found a title for my story (or is it the title that found me?). Like the name of my characters, it is unlikely to change. It makes the story more real. I finally feel those words will exist outside of my head. I’m just a little scared of what shouldn’t been changed. I’m afraid [...]

I just booked my flights to London. I’m going to England for a few days in June to do a writing retreat. I don’t think I’ll spend a lot of time with people, I’ll mostly be by myself, writing, reading, listening to what the city has to say and telling a few secrets too.
I’m looking [...]

A very good friend of mine is willing to turn my story into a play when I finish it! The more I think about it, the more I see it as the thing to do. We’ll see what happens during the summer.

A friend of mine told me I should put a time limit on my story in order to structure things and to motivate myself. I decided I’ll try to finish it by the end of the summer.
Do you think also put a time limit in your writing?

Yesterday, I created a blog about writing called Writing is like throwing up ink on a piece of paper.
I have no idea where I’m going with this, but so far I enjoy writing about…writing.
If you’d like to contribute to this new blog, feel free to send me a message. It’d be nice if I weren’t [...]

I like Starbucks. I know it’s the coffee equivalent of MacDonald’s and it’s really expensive in Switzerland, but I like the atmosphere there. I enjoy reading a good book or writing.
Starbucks inspires me. How crazy is that?
Sometimes, the music there inspires me more than what’s in my iPod.
Of course, there’s also Second Cup, Seattle’s Best [...]
