Ian Sanders‘s way of reinventing business and thinking outside the box often gives me creative ideas. Not to mention he lives near London, so I always feel like going to the UK when I come across one of his tweets or posts…

On Iddictive, his website, Mark Nagurski shows unusual businesses and people with amazing ideas. I often think “how does it even work?” or “wow, they had an idea, went all the way to make it happen, and it worked!” It makes me want to go and interview each one of them.

Pierre Black, one of the best piercers in the world, changed his career path and became a health and lifestyle consultant. He’s using a unique mix of Western and asian medecines that works really well for me. He’s open to all kinds of ways to eat better, exercise more and be healthier in general.

Stephanie Troeth is a strategist, a designer and an artist. She expresses her creativity in many different ways, using photography, jewellery, writing or parfumes. I like the fact that she makes things happen. It’s as simple as that.

I like the way Penelope Trunk writes about ordinary or sensitive issues. She provides us with helpful information on how to deal with people who, like her, have Asperger Syndrome. She’s very blunt and gets right to the point. I love her logical way of thinking, even if I don’t always agree with her and would probably find her lack of tact difficult to deal with in everyday life.

And last but not least, I recently came across the Craftivist Collective website. Let’s discover it together!

I need to shake things up.

I am therefore going to London next week-end. You see, walking the streets of my beloved London and sitting at my favorite cafés makes me creative.

Right now, I mostly feel like I’m about to climb a huge mountain, but I don’t have the courage to take the first step…

Ironically enough, while rereading the draft a few minutes ago, I realized that this post, although not very interesting, is a good enough first step! And my trip to London will represent the few following baby steps.

Then, when I come back from the UK with random (or maybe not so random) notes, I’ll start contacting inspiring people and ask them if they’d want to be interviewed.

All of a sudden, things get much clearer. It’s like writing “I don’t know what to write” over and over… At some point, the inspiration will come!

J’aime pas trop les chiens. J’ai beau les trouver mignons, intelligents et tout en théorie, en pratique ils puent souvent (ou je suis très sensible à leur odeur), ils me sautent dessus (gentiment), me sniffent les fesses (ça m’insulte!), ils bavent, leur derrière n’est pas toujours propre, il faut ramasser leurs excréments, bref, ils me dégoûtent un peu. Ce n’est pas une réaction rationnelle et j’essaie de changer de point de vue. J’aimerais même avoir un chien une fois…
